Warning signs:
- Threats or comments about killing themselves, also known as suicidal ideation
- Increased alcohol and drug use
- Aggressive behavior
- Social withdrawal from friends, family and the community
- Dramatic mood swings
- Talking, writing or thinking about death
- Impulsive or reckless behavior
Suicide Prevention Network of Delaware County
The Suicide Prevention Network of Delaware County is a not-for-profit group established to address the high rates of suicide in Delaware County. The network consists of community partners and individuals from human services, mental health, substance abuse agencies, law enforcement, area hospitals, schools, and other community-based organizations. The goal of this group is to create a community of hopefulness, safety, and shared responsibility to prevent suicide by increasing awareness, promoting resiliency, and connecting to resources and support.
Network meetings are open to the public and are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:00am – 11:30am via zoom. Please call 607-832-5200 to confirm date and to obtain zoom link.
Delaware County Mental Health Clinic
The Delaware County Mental Health Clinic provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to adults, families, adolescents and children residing within Delaware County. The clinic also offers consultation services to other county agencies. Crisis intervention and emergency care is provided.
