Early Intervention

Your child’s development is a journey

Early Intervention

Early Intervention is a statewide program that provides therapies and intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. Services are directed to help children meet their developmental needs and help parents care for their children. Any child from birth to age three with a developmental delay, disability, or condition that affects development may need help.  Early Intervention is provided at no direct cost to you. If your baby/child seems to need help please call us to begin making an arrangement for your child’s evaluation. For more information call 607-832-5200.

Which Children Are Eligible?

Children are eligible for the Early Intervention Program if they are under three years old and have a disability or developmental delay.  A disability means that a child has a diagnosed physical or mental condition that often leads to problems in development (such as Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, vision impairment, hearing impairment).
