New York State Concealed Carry Firearm Safety Training
Duly Authorized Instructor General Guidelines

Prior to accepting any concealed carry firearm safety training certificate from a duly authorized instructor, the following steps must be completed/submitted to the Delaware County Pistol Clerk’s Office (this information will be given to the licensing authority for future reference/validity):
- Clear/legible copy of full credentials of the duly authorized instructor
- Full name, address and contact information of the duly authorized instructor as well as business name, address and contact (if different)
- A clear/legible version of the “successful completion certificate” that will be given to the applicant
Any updates/changes to any of the above requested information needs to be submitted to the Pistol Clerk’s Office within 10 days of changes. Duly authorized instructor must also continue to comply with NYS laws/mandates established in the minimum standards issued by the DCJS and DSP.
Certificate
A certificate is recommended to contain the following information:
- Full name of applicant
- Date of course completion
- Signed by duly authorized instructor
