MAKING SURE YOU EAT WELL AND STAY HEALTHY

The Office for the Aging contracts to provide nutrition services for Delaware county residents  60 years of age and older and their spouses. Services available include delicious and nutritious meals at the Senior Dining Centers (listed below), home delivered meals, dietetic counseling, recreation, nutrition education programs and shopping assistance. Be sure to investigate these services for your well being and health.

NUTRITION/CONSULTING AND EDUCATION

The Office for the Aging contracts with registered dietitians to counsel clients on specific nutritional concerns and special diets. If your doctor has advised you to follow a special diet or you feel you require some help meeting your nutritional needs, personal sessions can be scheduled (home visits are available). In addition, the dietitians analyze the monthly menus for the Senior Dining Program, both congregate and home delivered services. The dietitians also do staff training, inspections and educational seminars at each dining center. The dietitians are licensed by New York State and the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. (Eat Right)
