What We Do
The Delaware County Department of Public Works (DPW) provides a wide range of services. Among those, are the administration, construction, maintenance, supervision, repair, alteration, and care of all 260 centerline miles of County road which also includes 291 bridges and 144 large culverts.
DPW also administers the operation of the County Solid Waste Management and Composting Program, Weights and Measures and maintains a full staff of engineers.
DPW’s Motor Equipment Service Center is responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles for the Public Works Department, Elections, Sheriff’s Department, Probation, Office for the Aging, Public Health and others.
